Since 1977, Disability Rights Louisiana has been fighting for the rights of people with disabilities across our state.
In Louisiana, one in three people has a disability. Many face discrimination, lack of support, and barriers to essential resources and opportunities. As a result, people with disabilities are more than twice as likely to be unemployed, live in poverty, drop out of high school, be arrested, or experience homelessness.
